Remedies for Acid Reflux

Prevention is the best way to combat such problems. This has consumed a diet low in fat and nutritious. Fatty foods can cause indigestion because it takes longer to digest.

Large meals can also cause indigestion, so it's better to eat small amounts at regular intervals. Foods should be avoided as coffee, tea, tomatoes and soda, which increase gastric acidity, as well as snuff and alcohol.

There should not eat anything for three hours before going to bed. Nor is it advisable to lie down after eating.

Infusion of mint, anise and lavender

The following infusion helps to reduce heartburn. Used anise, peppermint and lavender in equal amounts and prepare the infusion as follows:

  • Boil two cups of distilled water.
  • Add water to a bowl with tablespoon of the mixture of plants.
  • Let stand for infusion 3-5 minutes.
  • Strain the tea and add a little honey if you like.
  • Place the tea in a thermos.

It takes about 3 ml in the morning and three at night.

Anise is a plant useful for digestive problems, as well as providing other benefits to the body. Use only the so-called green anise, European or sweet. There are two other types of anise (star and caraway), which should not be used.

Peppermint is another important plant for stomach problems, or gastroesophageal reflux. It helps digestion and is useful in bloating, cramps, ulcers and gas. Lavender is useful for reducing heartburn.
